Mickie's Pizzeria 6th Annual

Sunday, March 30, Mickie's Pizzeria in North Pekin, IL was the site of the Sixth annual C&S 500, a benefit for Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Circles of Hope. The goal was to sell 500 pizzas in 5 hours for $5 each with the proceeds to be split between the two charities.
There were local race cars on display in all classes, from go karts to late models, and fans were able to vote for their favorites with cash donations. The band that plays for the Peoria Pirates football team was also on hand, but due to the wet weather, could not perform. Racin' Rachel from www.midwestracin.com was on hand to sign autographed pictures, also for charity. The auction and several 50/50 drawings raised more money for these two very worthwhile charities.
